"Gardens of Stolac, Garden of Europe" MoU Signed

Yuri Afanasiev, Resident Coordinator of UN to BiH, H.E. Maryse Berniau, Ambassador of Republic of France to BiH and Nicolas Moll, Deputy Director of the Centre Andre Malraux signed the Memorandum of Understanding on implementation of “Gardens of Stolac, Garden of Europe” project under the umbrella of MDG-F Programme Culture for Development, in the Embassy of France in Sarajevo.

Reconstruction of three religious monuments - symbols of multiculturalism supported by MDGF Culture and Development Programme

Memorandum of Understanding for support of rehabilitation of three valuable cultural heritage sites of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Ferhadija Mosque of Banja Luka, the Orthodox Cathedral of Mostar and Franciscan Monastery of Plehanas, has been signed by Yuri Afanasiev, UN resident Coordinator, highest representatives of BiH, entity and religious institutions.

MDG-F programmes presented at International Ecology Fair

Achievements and future actions of three MDG-F Programme Culture for Development, Programme Environment and Climate Change and Programme Democratic Economic Governance of Water Access were presented to representatives of the chambers of commerce from the region and neighboring countries as well as BiH municipalities at the 8th International Eco-Fair in Bihać, on September 3rd, 2010.

Yuri Afanasiev, Resident Coordinator of UN to BiH, addressed the 65 participants from 12 countries of the South-Eastern Europe, and 10 young German producers, speaking about the significance of Millennium Development Goals.

YERP Presented at Public Debate on Brain Gain

“Bosnia and Herzegovina needs a systematic approach and problem solving to bring back and keep experts and young people stay in country” was the main conclusion of the open debate in which the MDG-F Programme Youth Employment and Retention (YERP) was presented.
