Resultados principales
- Más de 13.000 hombres y mujeres están participando en diálogos comunitarios de periodicidad bimensual sobre cuestiones de género, VIH y SIDA, así como salud reproductiva. Se ha desplegado a 260 facilitadores de diálogo comunitario con formación específica.
- Se está impartiendo aptitudes para la vida y alfabetización a más de 12.400 mujeres y niñas; al final de la formación, el 56% eran capaces de leer y escribir.
- Se ha instruido a 379 mujeres en actividades generadoras de ingresos y a 1.314 en la gestión de cooperativas de ahorro y crédito. La tasa de devolución de préstamos oscila entre el 56% y el 96%.

The Joint Programme on Leave No Woman Behind (LNWB) is a three-year girls’ and womens’ integrated empowerment programme that aims to test and scale-up pilot projects in different regions in Ethiopia. The Joint Programme includes components in Education and Literacy, Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS and Livelihood interventions targeting adolescent girls and women.
The programme aims to introduce low-cost literacy, livelihood and reproductive health services primarily targeted at increasing literacy skills, education, knowledge and skills on reproductive health and livelihood. A community-based approach will be adopted. The Joint programme will be a Government-led initiative with sector ministries at sub regional level implementing programme components. Capacity building will be a central strategy through allocation of resources for strengthening technical and management capacities of local sector offices to foster demonstrable quality and impact and ensure sustainability.
