Consultant: Financial Expert - Reform of Water and Sanitation in Mauritius (Readvertised)

 

Under the overall management of the Learning Resources Center (LRC) and in collaboration with the Results Based Management (RBM) curricula team, the incumbent acts as the focal point for the design and development of the UNDP’s RBM/Programme management learning curricula in support of capacity development of UNDP staff. The incumbent ensures the integration of an end-to-end learning methodology for RBM/programme management curricula. The consultant directly reports to the Deputy Chief, LRC,OHR but works in matrix with OSG and CDG/BDP.


Duties and Responsibilities

Learning

  • Executes the analysis, design, and development of learning events.
  • Designs and coordinates training programmes based on organizational and employee needs and that are in line with the RBM learning and roll-out strategy and timelines.
  • Advises stakeholders on development of the learning curricula.

Project Management

  • Manages the RBM/Programme Management learning curricula development project, in line with UNDP’s corporate standards.
  • Builds, codifies and shares knowledge and best practices.
  • Based on need, follows-through on revision of existing learning products with various partners which in part calls for enhancing and customizing products.
  • For purposes of designing the RBM programme, conducts market analysis / benchmarking amongst the UN Agencies and comparable institutions;
  • Arranges, coordinates / facilitates RBM curricula development related meetings with stakeholders and/or resource leaders.

Expected Deliverables (with estimated delivery time from the date of commencement of contract):

  • Induction – orientation & establish working relationship with the main stakeholders: Involves contacting stakeholders, resource leaders/persons, full & comprehensive understanding the RBM environment and tools being used in UNDP, developing work engagement principles with stakeholders, establishing curricula design process map (0 - 15 days);
  • Compile, analyze, review existing RBM materials, products, notes, courses (0 - 1st month);
  • RBM conceptual design meeting with stakeholders (end of 1st month);
  • Design and execute benchmarking study (1 - 2nd month);
  • Complete “RBM Curricula Requirements Specifications” (2 - 3rd month);
  • Based on the Specifications, design the RBM curricula with content, methods, approaches (face-to-face, on-line, blended learning) (3 – 6th month)
