A Kaiowá family

 

Four out of ten Brazilian Indians live in extreme poverty, and more than half of indigenous children are anemic. The MDG-F supports government efforts to improve the food security and nutritional status of indigenous people, like this mother from the Kaiowá ethnic minority leading her children by wagon to a local clinic in the Indigenous Reserve of Dourados, in Mato Grosso do Sul.
