Water is life: don't pollute it!

"If you love water, you love life. Don't pollute or damage water, for it is life."


Ecuador places great importance on the respect for nature, cultural diversity and shared responsibility; the Constitution recognizes the right of communities, people and indigenous groups to use, manage and benefit from renewable natural resources on their lands, including water.


The MDG-F-financed joint UN programme is working with the government to help social organisations and communities sustainably manage their water and sanitation services, with a particular focus on empowering women.
