Senegal has developed policies to promote the country's great cultural diversity, but some regions and groups have been left behind. The goal of the Joint Programme was to support the government in implementing national policies aimed at promoting culture as an engine of sustainable human development, with a focus on vulnerable groups such as women and young people.

Vise à ce programa promouvoir un accès à l'eau et durable de l'assainissement pour les quartiers pauvres en Angola, en améliorant la gouvernance du secteur. Le modèle de gouvernance proposée implique la promotion d'un réseau d'autónomos unités de los pequeños y utilidades, avec le gouvernement au local "centro" hijo de papel de un limitador de la vigilancia du réseau, la régulation du secteur, poussant à l'autonomie des communautés dans la gestion de leur régime d'eau.

Improving access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation is one of the greatest development challenges in Angola. The government’s objective is to increase the proportion of people having access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation from 33% to 81% and from 48% to 74% , respectively, in the period 2003-2016. The Joint Programme supported this aim with infrastructure improvements and by enhancing the governance of the sector.

Although Niger has made progress in reducing infant mortality, food and nutrition insecurity remain big challenges. One in ten of Niger's children are acutely malnourished; in some areas, 20% of youngsters aged 6 to 23 months suffer from severe acute malnutrition. This Joint Programme took a multi-sectorial approach to preventing and treating malnutrition, increasing basic social services and improving the food security of the most vulnerable populations.
