The aim of the Programme is to “Help to reduce equality gaps in the human, social and economic development of indigenous and afro-descendant villages on the Caribbean Coast through cultural reclamation, productive development and the furthering of knowledge of tangible and intangible heritage”.
The Programme has two complementary focuses: first, cultural recovery and productive development which will strengthen heritage, cultural and natural diversity, and productivity in cultural, creative and tourist industries in the Autonomous Regions of the Caribbean Coast, as a means to further socio-economic development and the creation of jobs. Secondly to provide research, statistics and public policy to support cultural policy and its regionalisation by carrying out research, systematisation and dissemination of studies and socio-economic statistics and indicators and the cultural expression of the Autonomous Regions of the Caribbean Coast. Programme Duration: 36 Months.
