Summary

This document shows the experience of eight successful gender equity and women’s empowerment programmes and projects. These programmes have developed a series of practices and tools at different levels of women’s economic, social and political empowerment, which have become useful inputs for the drafting of new programmes and learning for the gender equity advocate community.  The programmes have been conducted in Africa (Egypt, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Latin America (Bolivia, Honduras and Ecuador) and Asia (Bangladesh and Viet Nam).
