The proposed UNICEF-WFP joint project is expected to have an impact on access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food, at all times, to meet dietary needs for an active and healthy life and the information and counselling on improved feeding and caring practices by women and children by 2011.

Three quarters of married women in the Pacific nation of Timor Leste have suffered physical or sexual assaults at the hands of their husbands or partners. The MDG-F has supported the passage of a national law against domestic violence and is assisting in the fight against all forms of gender-based violence.
