Building peace in Guatemala

Decades of civil war, pervasive poverty and widely-available weapons threaten Guatemala's social and political stability and prevent human development. The MDG-Fund is building peace in communities like Chiquimula by educating young people in conflict prevention and resolution, publicizing the dangers of gun ownership, and encouraging journalists to focus on the larger issues surrounding conflict and violence.
