Improving Nutrition and Food Security for the Peruvian Child: a Capacity Building Approach

Its purpose is to accelerate the implementation of the National Strategy “CRECER”, aimed at reducing child under nutrition through coordinated action. It seeks to promote and implement interventions at regional and local level to improve mothers’ and children’s nutrition, through strengthened programmes and initiatives from different sectors.

Integrated and adaptive management of environmental resources and climatic risks in High Andean micro-watersheds

The Programme seeks to develop and reinforce the abilities of local and regional governments, communal authorities and the general population to improve local adaptive management of environmental resources and the provision of services in High Andean rural areas through a participatory, informed and decentralized perspective that effectively incorporates environmental and climate change issues into public policy decisions at the local and regional government levels.

Inclusive creative industries: an innovative tool for alleviating poverty in Peru

This joint programme aims to alleviate poverty by developing inclusive creative industries in tourism, handicrafts, organic agriculture and gastronomy (because of their potential impact on reducing poverty) in Ayacucho, Cusco, Puno and Lambayeque (regions with the highest levels of poverty).

Peru: Promotion of employment and MSEs for Youth and Management of Juvenile Labor Migration

This program seeks to promote employment and microenterprise for the youth, and to manage their migration, through more and better job opportunities to secure decent work. To achieve this, a National Policy of Juvenile Employment and the institutional strengthening of the Ministry of Labor are needed, especially its Public Employment Service, the National Directorate of Employment, and the Regional Directorates.
