Ecuadorian students learn about Water and Life

The MDG-F is raising awareness among students in rural farming communities about the importance of caring for the environment, especially water.

Our Joint Programmes

Governance in the water and sanitation sector in Ecuador within the framework of the Millennium Development Goals

The programme will contribute to developing democratic governance in W&S services with a perspective on integrated management of water resources, social, territorial and gender equity, and support to the overall government-driven reform process within the framework of the National Development Plan.

Conservation and Sustainable Management of the Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve

The programme aims to support the conservation and management of the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve (YBR). The implementation of the programme will enable progress towards MDG 7 by contributing to the conservation of one of the world’s greatest areas of biodiversity through the implementation of community-based economic alternatives. Support will be given to actions designed to deal with climate change through the non-emission of greenhouse gases and adaptation.

Youth, Employment, Migration – Reducing Inequalities in Ecuador

The Programme will help to enhance the social and economic opportunities for young men and women experiencing situations of social, economic, gender, territorial and cultural inequities.

Development and Cultural Diversity to reduce Poverty and promote Social Inclusion

The programme promotes the revaluation of culture, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue, to bridge the gap of discrimination and social exclusion affecting minorities and disadvantaged groups whose rights and opportunities for education, health, and agricultural production are severely neglected, and thus perpetuates their position of poverty — all as a result of their culture or ethnicity.
